Zigzag Air Classifier

A Zigzag air classifier was developed and commissioned for a tyre recycling plant. The Classifier separates loose material fluff from the rubber granules. A mixture of fluff and rubber granules are fed into the classifier via a rotary valve. A counter current air stream is utilised to draw the fluff upward in the Zigzag profile. The clean rubber granules are expelled at the bottom and is transported with a slat conveyor belt for further to the downstream size classifiers.

Careful experimental analyses and verification was done before the unit was constructed, thus eleminatiing any risk to the client.
