S12-25 Dust extraction facility at AEL Mining Services Limited

TF Design | Thermodynamics Fluids & Design | Green Energy

The client requirement was to address the dust concerns emanating from the production of delay detonation charges. Localised extraction points had to be allocated at highlighted stations on the production machine as well as hand held suction points for perimeter suction of dust particles.

The dust is filtered through a double vaned rotoclone (water scrubber) unit and cyclone with the solid waste being pumped to the effluent plant for further processing. For very fine particle extraction from the air stream, a modular containerised filtering bagging system can be installed in-line with the extraction plant. If the latter is implemented a dust extraction of 99.995% can be achieved.
