Client: CSIR / Armscor
Date: 2010
The Mobile Cooling Unit is a transportable means of supplying chilled air to temporary field installations or applications. This particular unit has a cooling capacity of 20 kW and is used to supply chilled air to military vehicles during the instrumentation phase of vehicle blast tests.
The temperature at the point of application is actively controlled by means of a PT 100 probe and a temperature controller. The cooling unit is mounted on a trailer with its own three phase silent generator to power the unit in applications where grid electricity is not available.
