Black Liquor Heat Exchanger

A Black Liquor Heat Exchanger was custom designed and built for MPact Piet Retief.

Rigorous experimental testing was conducted to establish the thermal performance of a single prototype module to verify the theoretical calculations.

The final heat exchanger consisted of 24 modules in series and performed as predicted. The complete unit was manufactured from SS304
